Mosaic Select

Mosaic released a series of limited edition 3 CD box sets with the Mosaic Select title from 2003 onwards. Generally each set brings together a number of complete or partial albums by a single musician or a pair of musicians working together. Some of the sets however are mainly previously unreleased material.

Mosaic Select 1: Grachan Moncur III, 2003, Mosaic MS-001

Brings together the two Grachan Moncur III Blue Note albums Evolution (1963) and Some Other Stuff (1964), plus four Jackie McLean Blue Note albums that feature Moncur; One Step Beyond (1963), Destination Out (1963), Hipnosis (1967) and 'Bout Soul (1967).

Mosaic Select 2: Carmell Jones, 2003, Mosaic MS-002

Includes three Carmell Jones albums original released on Pacific Jazz; The Remarkable Carmell Jones (1961), Business Meetin' (1962) and Brass Bag (1962) plus the 1963 Harold Land album Jazz Impressions of Folk Music and a previously unreleased Frank Strazzeri session.
