Vee-Jay 1000 series: jazz LPs only The main 1000 series of LPs was released by Vee-Jay from 1956 to 1965. The majority of albums in this series are not jazz albums but cover a wide range including R&B, blues, folk, pop and rock 'n' roll. However before the main Vee-Jay jazz series (3000 series) started in 1960 and during a break in the 3000 series in the 1964-1965 period a number of jazz albums were released in the 1000 series.
