Golden Years of New Jazz

The Golden Years of New Jazz label was setup by Leo Records in 1999 to "remind music followers that the so-called New Jazz, Free Jazz, or New Music is at least forty years old" and to "document and preserve for posterity some of the golden moments of this artistic movement".

Leo Records was setup in the UK in 1979 by Leo Feigin as an outlet for "innovative, improvisation-based new music".
